•小乔木，高4～8m; 树冠圆球形或卵圆形；枝条较稀疏，开张角度大。树干较光滑，树皮有菱形皮孔，排列密，稍隆起。长势中等。叶狭长，长椭圆形或椭圆状披针形，长9～12 cm, 宽3～3 . 5cm; 革质，叶面平展，深绿色，有光泽；基部楔形；先端渐尖，叶尖有时反曲；叶缘全缘或稀有不明显锯齿，略有波状起伏；主脉凹下，侧脉9～10对，网脉明显。叶柄长9～11mm。
•Small tree to 4-8 m; crown spheroidal or ovoid; branches sparse, the angle large between trunk and the branches; bark fairy smooth, lenticels rhombic,dense, slightly raised; the medium vigorous. Leaves narrow, oblong or elliptic-lanceolate,9- 12 cm×3-3.5 cm, leathery, flattened, dark green, lustrous, base cuneate, apex acuminate and acumen reflexed sometimes; margin entire or serrate unobvious,lightly undulate, primary veins engraved obviously, secondary veins 9- 10 pairs, reticulate veins obvious; petioles 9- 11 mm long.

Flower
•花枝较短，长8～10cm。每节叠生花芽2对，每花序有花7～9朵。花朵繁密，有浓香。花梗长8～12mm, 中下部带紫红色。花黄白色至乳黄色(RHS-CC 4B)。花冠斜展，或近于平展，直径8～9mm; 裂片倒卵圆形或椭圆形，长约3.5mm, 宽2 . 5～3mm, 肥厚；雌蕊完全败育，不结实。花期9月上中旬至9月下旬。
•Flower twigs short, 8- 10 mm long, flower buds 2 pairs per node, each with 7-9 flowers, blossom dense, strong scented; pedicels 8- 12 mm long,purpled red at the lower part; corolla broad campanulate, inclined or near to spreading, cream white to cream yellow (RHS-CC 4B),8-9 mm diameter; corolla lobes obovate or elliptic,3.5 mm×2.5-3 mm,stout; stamens 2; pistils abortive, sterile. Blooming in early to late September.

Distribution
•产江苏苏州(光福)、苏州桂花公园、南京；安徽合肥；浙江杭州等地有栽培。是苏州光福地区的传统地方品种，但目前数量已经不多。
•Nanjing 、Suzhou, Jiangsu; Hangzhou, Zhejiang; Hefei,Anhui.

Remark
•叶较狭长，长宽比一般在3以上，近全缘，花朵较大，直径达8～9 mm, 花色较深。
•Leaves narrow and long,nearly entire; flower big, 8-9 mm diameter, deep in color.
