•小乔木，高3～ 4m; 树 冠 圆球形，分枝密集。树皮暗灰色， 纵裂，皮孔褐色，明显隆起。新 枝紫色。叶披针形至椭圆状披针 形，稀长圆形，长8～12cm, 宽 2.8～4cm; 厚革质， 叶面较平 展，有光泽，深绿色；基部宽楔形； 先端长渐尖至尾尖，叶尖常歪斜、 下弯；侧脉7～9对，网脉明显。 叶柄长9～13mm, 黄绿色。新 叶紫红色。
•Small tree to 3-4 m; crown ellipsoid, branches dense; bark dark grey, longitudinal dehiscence, lenticels brown, orbicular, dense and obviously raised, young branchlets purple. Leaves lanceolate to elliptic- lanceolate, 8-12 cm x 2.8-4 cm, flatted, lustrous, dark green, base broad cuneate, apex acuminate or long caudate, acumen oblique and bending down; Secondary veins 7-9 pairs, reticulate veins obvious; petioles yellow green, 9-13 mm long; young leaves purple red.

•花枝长8～12cm, 每节叶腋 内花芽2～3对；每花序有花7～9 朵；着花繁密，香气浓郁。花梗细 长、下垂，长达12～17 mm, 黄 绿色，盛开时花朵向下。花黄白色 (RHS-CC 4A～4B)。 花冠平展，直径9～11 mm。 裂片椭圆 形，分裂很深；雌蕊退化，不结实。每年开花2～3次，9月下旬始花。
•Flower twigs 8-12 cm long; flower buds 2-3 pairs per node, each producing 7-9 flowers, blossom dense, strong scented; pedicels 12-17 mm long, slender and pendulous with flower downwards in full bloom, yellow green; corolla spreading, yellow white (RHS-CC 4A-4B), 9-11 mm diameter; corolla lobes ellipticand deep split; stamens 2 ; pistil abortive, sterile. Blooming 2-3 times a year, first in late September.
