•灌木或小乔木，高2.5～3.5m, 树冠不规则扁圆形或披散；树皮暗灰色。分枝柔软， 密集而弯曲，皮孔较多。叶卵状椭圆形、椭圆形或椭圆状披针形，长8～10(13)cm,宽3～4cm,长宽比2.4～2.8,最宽部分多在中部或中部以下；叶面不平，波状起伏或卷曲，深绿色，粗糙，略有光泽；基部楔形；先端长渐尖，明显反卷；叶全缘，或在中部以上有锯齿；侧脉8～9对。叶柄长8～10mm。
•Shrub or tree to 2.5-3.5 m;crown irregular or oblate spheroidal; bark dark grey,lenticels dense,branches soft, dense and bending. Leaves ovate-elliptic or elliptic-lanceolate,8- 10(13)cm× 3-4 cm,withthe broadest at or below the middle,dark green, crude, lightly lustrous, base cuneate; apex long acuminate,obviously reflexed; margin entire or serrate above the middle, secondary veins 8-9 pairs; petioles 8- 10 mmlong.

Flower
•花枝长10～15cm。 叠生花芽2～3对，每花序有花5～7朵。花梗长7～8mm, 黄绿色。 花黄色(RHS-CC4B～6C)。花冠斜展或近于平展，直径6～8mm;花冠裂片倒卵状椭圆形， 长约3mm, 宽2.2～2.5mm。雌蕊完全败育。花期9月中下旬。
•Flower twigs 10- 15 cm long, flowers buds 2-3 pairs per node,each producing 5-7 flowers; pedicels7-8 mm long,yellow green; corolla inclined or spreading,yellow(RHS-CC 4B-6C),6-8mm diameter;corolla lobes obovate-elliptic,3 mm×2.2-2.5 mm; Pistil abortive. Blooming in middle to late September.
