•小乔木，树高3～4m, 树冠卵圆形或近于球形；长势旺盛。叶片长椭圆形至椭圆形，长9～12 cm, 宽3.2～3.6(4)cm, 叶面平整光亮；基部楔形至宽楔形；先端短渐尖；全缘，稀中上部有稀疏锯齿； 侧脉6～8对。叶柄长0.8～1.1cm, 带紫色。

Base cuneate to broadly cuneate; Apex short acuminate; Entire, thin middle and upper parts sparsely serrate; Lateral pulse 6 ~ 8 pairs. Petiole 0.8 ~ 1.1cm long, purple.

•花枝长达15～20cm, 每节花芽一般3对。上部花序常有长约1 cm 的总梗，中下部花序无总梗；花梗长约1.1cm。花黄白色，RHS 2B; 花冠内扣型，宛如荷花状，直径约7mm, 上部约2/3分离；花冠裂片倒卵形，长约4mm, 宽约3mm。雄蕊2;雌蕊完全败育，不结实。秋季盛花期：第一批7～8月。
•Flower branches up to 15 ~ 20cm, each section of flower buds generally 3 pairs. Upper inflorescence often racemose ca. 1 cm long, middle lower inflorescence without racemose; Pedicels ca. 1.1cm. Yellow-white, RHS 2B; Corolla inner buckle, like lotus, ca. 7mm in diameter, upper part ca. 2/3 separated; Corolla lobes obovate, ca. 4mm long x 3mm wide. Stamen 2; Pistil completely abortive, not firm. Autumn blooming period: the first batch of July to August.
